TENNIS NEWS
Claire
Speirs and Gill Allen, two longstanding Committee members of the Watlington
Tennis Club, have decided to take a break. Over the years the pair filled various
club posts, Gill supervising Tournaments and Juniors while Claire handled
membership which currently stands at 254, a record.
At the
club’s recent AGM, their contributions were roundly acknowledged and,
in thanks, the pair were presented with a bouquet of flowers and wine. The
Committee itself was re-elected and Amanda Macrae takes over the duties of
Membership Secretary

that the WMC can announce that Curly Coles and his family have taken over
the bar lease:

The community
hall and kitchen remain available for hire – contact the memorial
club directly. Specific catering and bar arrangements can be organised with
us or through the bar.
