WATLINGTON MEMORIAL CLUB

SECTIONS & MEMBERSHIP

There are no restrictions on membership - near or far, junior or adult - all are most welcome. For £6 in 2010-11 (less for the older and younger!) just join the main charity to use the bar & gain function discounts. Alternatively, if you join through one of the sports sections (please contact the sections for details of their subscriptions) your WMC fee is included in your section "subs" each year.  Download your membership form here.

Watlington Bowls Club has been in existence for over 65 years and runs a full programme of both friendly and competitive matches. New members, from very young to very old, receive a warm welcome and a qualified coach gives free lessons at the beginning of each season. Practice bowls are available. With the new pavilion in place, short mat bowls in the winter season is now available!

Watlington Squash and Racquetball Club aims to cater for all, from beginners to those more seasoned, and for all ages.  Why not come along and support the Team in the intra-county league – home nights Tuesday - or join in an informal game at club night every Thursday (8 till late) from September to March.  Alternatively just play a game with a friend.

The Tennis club has three hard courts, with modern floodlighting, so social evenings now carry on throughout the year in addition to the main social play session on Sunday mornings.  Group, individual and children’s coaching is available. Matches are played in both summer and winter leagues with ladies, gents and mixed teams, and with club tournaments throughout the year ranging from the deadly serious to the rather silly!

The Snooker facility is now open to all members. The spacious snooker room is situated in the top floor of the Memorial Club and both it and the table are always well maintained. For the keen players, teams currently play in the Didcot and District Snooker League.
